These questions are because I want to tell you about my new LED solar motion lights.

Motion Light, Product Overview
There are many options out there, but these LED motion lights are the ones I went with.
Check out the following features:
- With 100 LEDs, they provide a whooping 2000 lumens. If you don’t know, that means they are pretty damn bright.
- Equipped with solar. This means you don’t have to worry about remembering batteries when needed!
- Motion sensors. One of the best features and the main reason for purchasing them. These lights will turn on when they sense motion and remain on for 30 seconds before shutting off.
- There is an on-off button. If you aren’t using them, turning these lights off completely is easy.
- Can endure the elements. This couldn’t get any better, but have we discussed these lights being water and heatproof? This makes these perfect for camping (what I use them for) and setting them up at your house!
As you can see, these lights are perfect whenever you need extra light, whether you are camping or need some extra light outside your home.
For some suggestions for your house. You can light your walkway, stairs, room, and much more.
These lights have been such an amazing purchase, but I want to review some good and bad.
The Good & The Bad
I’ve been using these for six months, and with time comes the ability to provide an honest review, which is very important when reviewing any piece of gear.
The features listed above are why I was drawn to these lights. But now let’s get to what is good and bad about them. As with any piece of gear, nothing is perfect.
The Good
There are a few things that stood out to me with these lights. The first being they were ready to go out of the box.
After you press the “on” button, these start working immediately. I’ve used them for over six months and haven’t had them run out of juice yet!
This is because you never need to worry about charging them (due to the small solar panel)!
I charge these lights by placing them next to my Luci lamp (on the Rav4 dashboard) during the day. I haven’t had any issues with them running out of power.
These LED lights have even survived the California heat inside the Rav4.
I decided to pour water over these lights to simulate rain. These lights worked as expected and didn’t skip a beat.
This test was important because they will experience some sort of wet conditions. It could be condensation, morning dew, or even rain.
Stay tuned, as I will soon be testing them in below-freezing temperatures. I assume they will work fine.
The Bad
As you may know, I like to address things I’m not particularly impressed by.
The first thing to cover is the size of these lights, which are a bit bulky.
Personally, their size isn’t necessarily bad, but friends I’ve shown them to said they were. That is when I mention they do sell a smaller version.
I camp a lot in BLM land and wanted something bright. I knew their size when I purchased them and made it work.
Depending on what you will use them for, my main reason is for camping. These lights only come with mounting screws.
Because I use them with car camping, I added magnets to the back. So far, this has worked great!
When ordering these lights, I wanted something bright. Well, they are, which is sometimes a bad thing.
I’m mentioning this here because when you have to pee in the middle of the night, remember they are there. Let’s say I forgot about them.
Who Could Use These?
Having many options for light is essential when camping.
When you add the benefit of motion lights, it’s freaken cool!
These motion lights have worked when needed. In fact, you don’t have to keep your headlamp on while camping because these are ready.
Remember when I said these have motion detection?
So when there is that sound of something outside in the middle of the night, these lights turn on!
That means the “thing” outside gets startled. So there you go, an added security benefit. Get these today!
But remember, these lights aren’t just for campers.
Now that I have them, I’ve noticed them in many people’s yards and on the sides of houses. So you can get your money’s worth and put them up everywhere you need light!

This is one of the things that I love about these lights. It’s the price.
Before purchasing them, I looked around to ensure I got the best price. Well, for around $27, you can get your own set today!
These come in sets of two! So there is no reason you shouldn’t order a few of them.

Quick Update:
I’ve had a few questions about a new set of lights I recently purchased.
They are a slim pair of LED counter lighting.
I will test them out more this summer, as they will be a fun addition to the Rav4 camping gear.
But they aren’t for outdoor conditions.
I assume this is because they are not sealed like the ones we’ve discussed. But they are super bright, rechargeable, and super thin. If you’re interested, you can check them out here.
Haha … your comment about forgetting them when you sneak outside in the middle of the night.
I can imagine it being pitch dark, you finish your business, and then get startled on the way back.
Good thing you emptied your bladder!
These lights are really great. A nice feature when in the middle of nowhere.
Easy to use and recharge are important.
If I was camping, especially in areas that are known for large wildlife, I would want these!
Thanks for the review.
That is so true! Also, having them alert me to what is outside gives me peace of mind. That is priceless!
