You might have seen the ads, influencers talking about it, and Magic Spoon being all over social media. But what is Magic Spoon Cereal, and is it any good?
I have thought the same thing for a while now. That is when I decided to try it for myself.
You might even say that I finally gave in to all the hype and decided to give this cereal a try for myself.
I know what you are thinking,
- Is it worth ordering?
- Why would you spend so much on that?
- What is an honest review of the taste?
- Will I be ordering it again?
An honest review of the Magic Spoon Cereal
There is a lot of hype about this cereal going around the internet. Like most of everyone else, I wanted to give it a try.
Once you start looking into this cereal, you will begin to see it everywhere. I assume it’s because I went to their website, but they have A TON of influencers to advertise for them as well.
Everything I looked at was positive for this stuff.
After seeing all the ads for this cereal, it still took me months to justify the cost. I mean, you can go to the store and spend the same amount on quite a few boxes.
So I did it for you.
Want to know what I think of the cereal? Keep reading to find out, and my answer might surprise you.
Cereal has always been good
Let’s start with one thing. Cereal has always been fantastic! What’s not to love about it?
It’s something that anyone can easily make. All you need is your choice of milk, or you can even eat it dry.
You can enjoy cereal anytime you want, it’s quick, and most importantly, a lot of it tastes great!
Something that is also not so great is that it’s so easy to eat way more than you should.
The not-so-great about cereal, in general
If you look at the side of the box and read the nutrition label, you will discover a few things.
Let’s call it how it is. The nutrition of most cereals is terrible. If you don’t believe me, go to your cabinet right now, pull out a box, and read the ingredients.
Not only will you not be able to pronounce some ingredients, but you will also notice how much garbage is really in there. Then you might see the calories, lack of protein, and all the sugar in one serving.
Maybe it’s not such a great snack after all.
Enter Magic Spoon
I have been on a search to find quick, easy, and healthy things that I like.
So with all the hype for Magic Spoon, it has to be different, right?
After all, there are tons of influencers, commercials, ads, and so on about this stuff.
The first thing I noticed with this cereal is the cost. Damn, $10 a box? And you have to get four at a time!
I decided to get one shipment.
Being able to justify this price every month or two is not something I’m going to do. But, still, I wanted to give it a try.
It wasn’t difficult to find a discount code from another blog post. As I said, there are quite a few people I follow that have their promo code.
It was finally time
I got my credit card ready, logged onto the Magic Spoon website, and clicked on Shop Now!
There are around nine different flavors to choose from.
I placed my order for the four boxes and waited. My order consisted of trying:
- Fruity
- Pumpkin Chai
- Peanut Butter
- Cocoa
My first order was effortless, and their website is easy to navigate too.
The shipment
The great part is that my order arrived a day early. So that made me pretty happy.
I immediately opened the peanut butter one and ate a handful while grabbing a bowl and milk.
You might be wondering if it were as good as I thought it would be…well, yes and no.
My Reaction to Magic Spoon
Overall, I did enjoy the cereal, but there were some things I didn’t care for.
As for taste, it was good. I surprisingly liked the fruity cereal the best.
There was something that I wasn’t expecting.
The cereal left film or coating on my teeth. I will admit, this was not a deal-breaker as it did eventually go away.
Before you ask, all four cereal types left the film coating on my teeth.
That also leads me to the aftertaste.
You should know that I’m a bit of a picky eater. But I wanted to love and enjoy this cereal. Again, I tried all four that I purchased, and they all had the same aftertaste.
Not something that I looked forward to. I just made sure to brush my teeth soon after eating.
What this cereal has going for it
I will say they are right on with the ingredients (all can be pronounced) as well as
- Higher protein than other cereals
- Low carb
- No sugar or corn syrup
- Gluten-free
- Grain-free
There is way more protein in Magic Spoon than any of the other cereals that I enjoy.
Those are for sure the most significant positives.
Final Thoughts Of Magic Spoon Cereal
Overall, and if you just wanted to know my final thoughts, Magic Spoon cereal is okay.
After you add up the cost of each box, consider the strange coating it leaves on your teeth and the fact that I was not too fond of the aftertaste. I would suggest you try something else.
I’m happy I decided to take the plunge and give Magic Spoon a try. But, I will not be ordering it again.
My suggestion for you is to stick with the standard breakfast, like eggs, smoothies, avocado toast, oatmeal, or my favorite green drink. All of which are healthy and will keep you full longer and are something you probably already have.
Have you tried Magic Spoon? If so, what did you think about it?
I have a feeling there are going to be people out there that love the stuff. And that is why it’s great to get other views.
Magic Spoon gave me a referral link to share, but I honestly don’t want to use it.
With that said, if you want to try it, leave a comment, and I will get one to you. Who knows, you might have a different opinion than I did.
Thank you for your honest review. I agree with all of your comments 100%. Very expensive and not enjoyable. The best part was that it didn’t cost me anything… thanks for sharing with me!
Ha, you got that right. I just realized that I still have the fruity flavor left…and that was my favorite one! Not sure what to think about that, but I think it says a lot.
