We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post, but this does NOT cost you anything extra! Check out my full disclosure for more info.
Well, we made it! Today brings us to the last day of what I call my one short post a-day for a week series.
That sounds like a mouthful, but I took this week to develop what I use the most and did a quick write-up about them.
So what do you think? It would be amazing if you would return to the Monday post and leave me a comment. I really want to know if you liked this and if I should do it again.
Online Shopping is King
Just in case you don’t know this about me, I’m not a big fan of shopping. There are only a few exceptions to this statement. That is if the “shopping” deals with one of my passions, Overlanding, hiking, camping, and pretty much any outdoor activity.
You might be wondering why I’m writing about shopping. Well, I felt I needed to add one more post to wrap up this week. So without further ado, I will share with you the three places I shop the most.
REI
Simply put, REI is not only the best store I think I’ve been to but is also an amazing company. I have learned and done so much with REI that I could write an entire blog post about it.
If you ever need a piece of gear, shop to work on your bicycle, hiking, camping, climbing, or even snow sports, take it to a green vest.
They have your back, you get 10% back at the end of the year (assuming you are a member, and if you aren’t, you should be), and they always give back to the outdoor community.
Not only that, but REI was one of the first retail companies that decided to close for Black Friday!
That means the entire company is closed and gives families time to enjoy the great outdoors.
EMS Outdoors
While searching online, I recently found a company called Eastern Mountain Sports.
There are a few outdoor stores out there, but EMS is one that I have been reading and looking at much more often lately.
I am still a diehard REI customer and member, but EMS has some excellent things going for it.
It looks like they are big on the East Coast, such as their name, but they have a ton of quality gear and some interesting things on their website.
Additionally, they sometimes have better prices than the previously mentioned store too. But you didn’t hear that from me.
Amazon
I don’t think I can mention shopping without mentioning Amazon. Personally, I do most of my shopping in this section, as I’m sure you do as well.
Amazon is a beast, and it’s pretty hard to compete with them. I haven’t met anyone who hasn’t ordered or heard about this company.
I not only use Amazon, but I also have really enjoyed using the Kindle service. As you might already know, reading has been one of my goals, and the Kindle has allowed me to read daily!
Like the other stores, I listed, I feel that I could talk a lot about Amazon. But I’m pretty sure we know what the company is and does. So I will leave it at that. I suggest checking this section out for some good stuff.
Where do You Shop At?
Well, that is it for this week. I plan on writing something new on Monday, which I’m sure will be a long post.
I really do want to know what you think about the group of shorter posts this week. I know it was different, but I hope you liked it and maybe even learned something along the way.
After all, now you know where I go for my daily news fix, gear, and even the podcasts I listen to.
If you want more information about the companies listed above, comment below.
I will do what I can to answer all your remaining questions. If there are awesome questions, I’ll update the blog post to include them and let you know.
