This will be a quick post to give you a brief update about my Epic Road Trip 2.0 (version 2021).
For those of you that have emailed and left comments, THANKS! It’s been great to connect with you.
I’m doing what I can to stay in touch, but most of the places I’m exploring are remote. Yes, I did consider buying a cell booster, but I’ve had some other expenses that are taking priority.
Still On The Road
If you are wondering, yes, I’m still on the road.
There have been many ups and downs along the way. But overall, this has been a fun trip.
I’m sad to report there are two things I really wanted to happen that didn’t. It was meeting two people that I have followed on social media for many years, but sometimes life happens, and it doesn’t work out. That doesn’t mean it will never happen, and it just didn’t work this time.
A HUGE issue I’m facing while on the road is cell reception.
And, part of being on the road, and camping where I do, my tires will need to be replaced. The tires are pretty expensive.
Rough Internet Connection
I have a strong suspicion that my cell provider toggled me down, meaning my phone’s hotspot is so slow that I cannot get a usable service. I have been considering changing my provider, but I am still on the fence (and don’t want to spend an extra $1,000 on the phone right now).
It’s been difficult to upload a photo, much less connect to the internet.
With that said, I have a few really cool places I’ve been and some fun stories.
This has been such a great trip, and I think documenting it on Wilde Escape is going to be an awesome resource for me to remember what I did and maybe to give you some ideas as well.
Since this is the first time I’m documenting my travels, please let me know if you have any questions. I will let you know everything I know!
Back To The Road
I’m going to a cool breakfast spot and am headed there now! If your wondering, I’m in the northwest part of Washington.
Canada is so close! I didn’t want to drive my car over there or put it on a ferry, but I really wanted to step foot in another country. From everything I could find, they still have their borders closed (as of this post).
Part of me stayed in this location for another day in hopes they would reopen. I was willing to spend the day there if needed. After all, I brought my passport, too (you just never know what will happen on a Wilde adventure).
I was really looking forward to going to Vancouver, but I guess that will have to be later.
I’m not going to give you unwanted advice, but as far as cell phone providers go….
Well, let’s just say I’ve never been a fan of the one you have used for years.
I love my provider!
Come over…!
P.S. More unwanted advice: Get new tires!
Haha, thanks, and I happen to get both (new tires and a new phone)!
It will be nice having better reception, I hope, and the Rav is thrilled with the new tires.
