What I Didn’t Expect
Balance is what surprised me the most.
I noticed it most on technical terrain, stream crossings, and steep descents. Traditional boots turned my feet into rigid platforms. With wide toe box shoes, my feet started working with the terrain instead of against it.
I didn’t even realize how much function I was missing out on until I felt it come back.
