We decided that the Wilde Escape needed a little facelift.
It’s been a few weeks now. Have you noticed the new homepage?
Why did we do this? Well, the original page just had all the blogs listed by date. It made searching and finding an article a bit difficult. After receiving a few emails, I decided there needed to be a more natural way.
We now have a page that explains everything.
I believe it’s easier to locate what you are interested in. And don’t worry, you can always go to all the blogs that are in date order still. Fun fact, if you go to a website often, you should click F5 (or refresh on your cell phone) to make sure you have the most current information.
I want to know what you think of the new look. Leave a comment below!
My overall goal here is to help you in any way I can. Obviously, with a focus on getting everyone outdoors and getting some fresh air. After all, who doesn’t feel better after being outside?
Upgrading the site to be easier to navigate is another step in the right direction.
Larger Blog and Topics
I want to help you achieve what you want in this life. We will continue to do this by having information about health, fitness, gear reviews, some lifestyle hacks, camping, a new section on emergency preparedness, and answering questions from you!
All this might seem like a lot of information.
That is why the Wilde Escape blog is, hopefully, now easier to navigate. The most significant change, if you haven’t seen yet, is the categories menu above.
You can hover your mouse (or click on) Blogs in the top menu. This will give you a few topics to choose from. Or you can click on the blog itself to get a list of all the blogs I’ve written.
I Need Your Help
As always, I am soliciting help and assistance from you all. Keeping the above topics in mind, what are you interested in reading?
I have a desire to give content that you all want to read. And better yet, something you will come back to see what the week’s topic is.
The overall plan is to have a different series depending on what I find out that you are interested in reading. The more information, the better.
If there is a section that you are interested in, like camping basics, let me know, and I will do a few posts on it. If there is something that you are specifically interested in, like a piece of gear, I will make a post on that as well!
A recent example, in my last post, I briefly mentioned my Rav platform setup. If you want to know more, leave a comment, and I will write a blog about it. Not going to lie, I’m pretty excited to go camping!
Another way to look at this is to think about the Google searches you already do. For example, do you search topics such as the types of gear, hikes in your area, camping spots, travel locations, or others? I will always do my best to give you my advice or find someone else that has more than me.
The Wilde Escape Community
Again, if you read the about page here, I want to create a “community/tribe/group” that all supports each other. With that said, is there a good name for the Wilde Escape “group”?
I still haven’t found a good name besides community or group. That seems very common to me. Also, I’ve seen a lot of blogs with the tribe, but I want to stand out.
Our community will be a place you can ask questions and get real-world answers and suggestions from myself and others. Together we will form this community and learn something new every day.
Regarding my blogs, I tend to write them around 1,500 words. Does that work for you? Or would you rather have smaller posts?
I could also mix it up with some longer blogs as well as some shorter ones. As I’m writing this, I think that might be the best bet!
I also plan on adding in some videos that will help you with the content the post is about. At this point, I doubt anyone wants to watch me, but I can find something that will help. I even added a few videos to a few posts already!
I want to create a space where everyone feels welcome. I want to create a space that we can all go to learn something fun, share our ideas on the topics, help each other out, and even have a good laugh.
To do this, I need your ideas and support.
Thanks again for stopping by. I know this blog is something a little different than usual, but I wanted to get it all out there. Now that you have done some reading, you should get up and stretch. Better yet, walk around your block and get some fresh air!
